Information about electronic transactions and your rights and responsibilities

Roscoe Bank will never ask you to provide personal or financial information via unsecured email.  Please report to us any suspicious emails you receive claiming to be from Roscoe Bank and requesting personal or financial information.  We will NEVER call you and request that you provide us with your online banking password, debit card number/pin, or any other confidential information.  When you call us, we may use pieces of that information to verify who you are.  If you ever question whether an email or phone call claiming to be from our bank is real, call us directly and we can verify that information.

If you have a debit card, you may receive calls or text messages from our fraud department asking you to verify transactions that we feel are suspicious.  When our fraud department contacts you, we will not ask for any personal information.  If the fraud department cannot reach you, we may leave a message asking that you call us back.  When you call back into the fraud department, we may ask for your phone number and debit card number to verify your identity.

Commercial Customers

Customers who use our commercial internet banking products have additional capability, but that also means additional risk.  To help protect your business, we are providing a risk assessment we suggest you perform on a regular basis to assess how adequate your security procedures are.  When you complete the assessment, you will be provided with tips and recommendations to help strengthen your security posture.  Not all of the recommendations will fit every business, as your risk can depend on the size of your business and the number of employees you have.   However, we hope you will consider as many of the suggestions as possible when developing your security strategy.
